SEGRA ConferenceFriday, September 28, 2018

The Mackay region is proud to be hosting the 2018 Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia (SEGRA) national conference from 22 – 25 October.  The SEGRA conference attracts delegates from industry, research institutions, regional development authorities, and Federal, State and Local Government across Australia.  It provides a unique opportunity for all sections of the community to explore key issues affecting regional, rural and remote Australia.  For more information on SEGRA 2018 visit

As we would like to encourage as much regional participation as possible, please register your attendance via this link

If you cannot attend the entire conference, there are also a number of activities within the program that are being offered as stand-alone events.  Here are a few to consider:

Tuesday, 23 October:  Leading Futurists to Speak at SEGRA

Sohail will be followed by James Wright, CEO of the Future Business Council, who will explore our economic drivers (e.g. energy, heavy industry, agriculture, services), challenge their future prosperity, and question if we are well-placed to seize the opportunities ahead.
